“In February of 2010 I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma after a biopsy of a lymph node in my neck done by Dr. Faria at Paul B Hall Medical Center. He referred me to Dr. Jain at Highlands Cancer Center in Prestonsburg. Dr. Jain ordered CT & PET scans and bone marrow tests to determine the extent of the lymphoma and a course of treatment. After the test results came in Dr. Jain decided on eight tri-weekly rounds of chemo which began in March 2010. Chemo was very taxing for me and my family, but through my faith in my lord Jesus Christ and the support of my wife Delores, I made it through the chemo treatments. In August 2010 my cancer was in remission.
I continued to see Dr. Jain for follow-up visits and monitoring. In April of 2011 a routine PET & CT scan revealed that the lymphoma had returned. A bone marrow test showed no signs of the lymphoma, so that at least was one plus. My wife and I were both devastated to hear that my cancer had returned. But once again I relied on my faith in Jesus Christ and prayers of the people in my community where I attended church and I continued to preach the gospel. After eight more tri-weekly rounds of chemo that began in May 2011 and ended in November 2011 my cancer was once again in remission. PET & CT scans done in March 2012 continued to show no signs of cancer.
I truly believe my faith in Jesus Christ has been my healing strength for I have felt his healing power. I thank God that he sent me in the direction of Dr. Jain and his amazing staff who have helped me tremendously and treated me as if I was their family.
I must thank God first and foremost for the wisdom, skills and friendship that he has blessed Dr. Jain and all the staff at Highlands Cancer Center with. I am so thankful and grateful to them all.”
God bless everyone.
